The Program FAQ’s

These FAQs are here to help you feel more comfortable and confident as you get started with your yoga practice. They’ll give you a better idea of what to expect and how to make the most of your time on the mat.
What is Vinyasa Yoga?

Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga where movement is synchronized with breath. It involves flowing from one posture to the next, creating a dynamic and often challenging cardiovascular workout.

Yes! Vinyasa Yoga is for everyone, including beginners with absolutely no experience. YORS Vinyasa classes are designed to accommodate all levels.

Always bring water and a towel. You’ll need a yoga mat which is essential for comfort and grip. YORS lends out yoga mats and other props before each class on a first come first serve basis. If you’re attending a class frequently it’s a good idea to bring your own.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Most people prefer form-fitting attire like leggings or shorts and a breathable top. You may want to avoid loose clothing as it can get in the way during poses.

Flexibility is not required to practice Vinyasa Yoga. Over time, your flexibility will naturally improve with consistency and patience with yourself.

Always consult with your healthcare provider before starting yoga if you have an injury or medical condition. Many yoga classes can be adapted to accommodate physical limitations, but it’s important to inform the instructor beforehand, so they can provide modifications.

Each YORS Yoga class begins with a warm-up and concludes with a cooldown. Throughout the session you’ll be guided through a series of yoga poses explained in clear, easy-to-understand language. The focus is on quality over complexity practicing fewer poses with care, precision, and mindful attention. Our goal is for every participant to leave class feeling confident, successful, and inspired to continue their yoga journey.

No, Vinyasa Yoga is for everyone. YORS Vinyasa classes focus on the synergy between mind, body, and emotion as it pertains to the physical practice of yoga.
